Any bowling center in Montana can become a member of the Montana Bowling Proprietors Association (MBPA). Membership in the MBPA automatically includes membership in our parent organization, the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA). Membership dues are paid annually on a calendar-year basis. Dues paid after April 1st can be pro-rated providing the center is not an existing member in an unpaid status. Membership dues must be paid by January 10th to receive the $2.00 per lane discount offered by the BPAA. Dues can be paid directly to the BPAA by check or credit card or can be sent to the Executive Director of the MBPA (checks only).
If paid by January 10th, the cost of membership is as follows:
$ 27.00 per lane (BPAA portion)
20.00 per lane (Montana portion)
Total = $ 47.00 per lane
Membership dues paid after January 10th will be at $49.00 per lane.
If paying directly to the BPAA, call 800-343-1329 and ask for Membership.
If paying to the MBPA, call (406) 252-3220 and ask for Tom Brendgord.
State The most significant benefits of membership are derived from the national level (BPAA).
However, the Montana Bowling Proprietors Association has the following benefits also:
"300" game plaque – a beautiful replica of Montana plaque will be sent to all member
center’s league bowlers that bowl a "300" game in sanctioned league play. This does not
apply to tournaments and is limited to one in a bowler’s lifetime effective Sept. 1, 1996.
Discounted registration at the MBPA annual convention.
Eligible participation in all official MBPA and BPAA tournaments including the
International Family Doubles Tournament, which awards thousands of dollars in scholarships within
Montana every season.
Scholarship eligibility for up to $2,000 annually. Youth league bowlers in MBPA
member centers are eligible for four different $500 scholarships.
Free access to the MBPA library of educational and promotional video tapes.
Opportunity to serve on the MBPA board of directors.
Eligible participation in all BPAA hosted bowling tournaments including, but not limited to the Qubica
International Family Tournament ($70,000 in scholarships) and the North Pointe Insurance $100,000
High School Singles Championships.
BPAA’s Smart Buy program allowed participant. The Smart Buy program offers more
savings, rebates, rewards and incentives than is imaginable. The savings from national
account pricing plus monetary rebates from both the Pepsi Post Mix and the
Sysco Food Service programs will more than cover a center’s cost of membership. And
there is more including: North Pointe Insurance (commercial), Music Licensing
Agreements, Credit Card processing, Grainger lighting and electrical products, Office
Depot supplies, ATM machines, etc. Click on bpaa.com/memberbenefits for more
Smart Buy information.
Access products. While on the BPAA web site, click on the Access products tab to find
all kinds of educational, promotional, and coaching products plus online training to
enhance your center’s profitability.
