You can also download the entry form for the 2010 State Senior's tournament to be held in Cut Bank, MT in October.Congratulations to Kerry Hardacre and her daughter SheaLynn (Billings) and Solotair Barcus and her son Ashton (Billings) for taking 4th & 15th places respectively in their divisions at the international finals of the International Family Tournament held in Euless, Texas in early August 2010. SheaLynn won a $2,000 scholarship and Ashton won a $800 scholarship as part of the $70,000 scholarship pool that is annually awarded in this event. This year (2010), $2,530 in scholarships were awarded at the regional and state levels. The 2011 west regional final will be held at Five Valley Center (Missoula) on Feb. 5-6, and the east regional final will be held at Palace Lanes in Laurel on Feb. 19-20. The state finals will be held at Snowy Lanes in Lewistown on March 19-20. All final results are now posted on their respective listing on the tournament tab in this web site.The Montana Bowling Jamboree is scheduled for September 24-26, 2010 in Great Falls, Montana. The Hilton Garden Inn will be the location and the Great Falls USBC association is the host. Full registration fee is $65 per person if paid by September 17th. A special block of rooms is reserved for $99+tax (sgl or dbl), but must be reserved by September 17th. Call 1-406-452-1000 and mention the bowling Jamboree to make your reservation. The Jamboree registration form and agenda is available for downloading on the Tournament & Special Events tab of this site.The universal state Youth Scholarship application has a March 1st deadline. Several thousands of dollars are available for high school seniors in 2011. Three scholarships have been worth as much as $1,000 each. This application can be downloaded from this site by clicking on the Youth tab and scrolling to where it is shown.The 2011 Open State tournament will be held at Sleeping Giant Lanes in Helena, MT. This will be the first time that the Open tournament will be held in a single center and is the result of the Montana USBC association reducing the requirement that the state tournament be held in a minimum of 30 lanes. Also, for the first time, team event will consist of 4-member teams. By doing so, this tournament will be able to finish in mid-May. Entry forms should be available to download from this website in December. |
