The universal state Youth Scholarship application has a March 1st deadline. Several thousands of dollars are available for high school seniors in 2020. This year the Montana Bowling Proprietors Association has joined with the Montana USBC association and will be using the same application. It is for high school seniors who have bowled youth leagues in Montana for at least 3 years. To be eligible for the MBPA scholarships, a youth must have also bowled at least 21 games in a BPAA member center. If unsure, check the list of bowling centers on a separate tab on this site. The universal application can be found on this site on the Youth tab and also on the Downloads tab of the website: www.mtusbc.com. The proprietors now have a total of 4 scholarships each worth $500.00 - two for boys and two for girls. The Montana USBC has one scholarship worth $1,000, two scholarships worth $750 each and two scholarships worth $500 each.
The 2020 Open State tournament has been cancelled, but will be held in Missoula at Westside Lanes (team event and dbls/sgls) in 2021. Team event will consist of 4-member teams. Entrants may bowl the team event an unlimited number of times, but must change at least two members each time. They also may enter doubles up to 3 times providing they change partners each time and also enter singles each time. This event will run for 8 or 9 weekends starting in March with the exact dates yet to be determined. Entry forms will be available to download from this website on the Tournament tab after January 1st and also on the website www.mtusbc.com.
The 2020 Women's State tournament has been cancelled, but will be conducted in Billings again in 2021. Team event will be conducted at Town & Country Lanes with doubles/singles being held at Fireside Lanes. The tournament will run for 4 weekends including all Friday nights starting in late April with the exact dates yet to be determined. Entry forms will be available on the Tournament tab of this site and also on the website www.mtusbc.com after January 1st.
The MUSBC Youth State Tournament has been cancelled, but will be held in Great Falls again in 2021. All of the events will be conducted at Little's Lanes. Entry forms will be available for download on this website and also on the website www.mtusbc.com after January 1st.
Please note that Montana State Association Manager, Tom Brendgord, will not be the central coordinator, nor tournament director for any of the 2021 state tournaments. Tournament entries for those events will have to be submitted to their respective tournament managers whose addresses and phone numbers appear on the back page of each entry form. Email entries are also highly encouraged. Montana USBC state tournament Standing Rules will be posted for each respective tournament on the Tournament Tab.
The 2020 Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships has been cancelled, but will be conducted at Sleeping Giant Lanes in Helena again in 2021 with the dates yet to be determined. Danielle Bolan will be the Tournament Director. Go to our tournament tab or www.helenausbc.com or www.butteusbc.com to get all current information including the local qualifying windows for this event.
The 2020 Montana State Hall of Fame banquet has been cancelled, but will be held in Missoula in 2021 with the date yet to be determined. The 2020 inductees have been determined, but the 2021 inductees and ticket information are yet to be determined. The HOF application deadline is March 1st. Also, on the same weekend as the Hall of Fame banquet is the annual Delegate's Election meeting, which will be held on that Sunday at Westside Lanes in Missoula.
